"It is not the critic who counts...The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena." -Teddy Roosevelt
Are you one of the players on the field, both literally or metaphorically? Are you doing the hard work? Are you striving to be the BEST version of you?
Know that those outside of the arena can easily critique, I mean... why not... they aren’t doing the work. They are not being vulnerable enough to fall on their faces for the whole world to see. They sit in their own small bubble and look out, while casting unwarranted opinions on the world, as if to be expert of some sort.
Anyone can judge and critique! In fact, it takes little skill at all compared to being the artist, the athlete, the working mom juggling kids, a job and whatever small semblance of a personal life she still has left.
Right now, you are the one in the arena. You're the one who's doing the hard work, striving to put in your best and exerting a ton of effort for a great cause. You are the one that is alienating yourself from seemingly everything that you once were and running full force towards your dreams!
I have done this a few times in my life, each time more difficult, in some ways, than the last. It is not easy...but let me tell you my friends...it is so much more rewarding on the other side than simply following along with someone else’s plans!
